Fall-Winter 2018/19

The Spring-Summer sun is almost setting as we look forward to brands unveiling their highly awaited Fall-Winter 2018/19 collection.

In a sneak peek session, Korsun recently unveiled its latest Fall-Winter collection, and this year they have decided to recreate the magic of symbolism through their designs. As interesting as it sounds, this season they have decided to introduce ‘The Crane’ as their muse. The essence of doing so, lies in the symbolic significance of the bird.

The crane, which is a symbol of dignity, devotion and luck, is exactly what Korsun has to offer to the women of today, in their journey of life. Ambitious to touch the sky, devoted to achieve their purpose and embracing freedom each day, just like a ‘Korsun Woman’ should. The symbol is an incarnation of grace & aristocracy, it adorns the designs through unique prints and illustrative yet minimalist embroidery on dresses, shirts, jackets and trousers.

The collection creates a perfect balance between laconism and postmodernism, a style that includes slight Eastern tones as well. After all, the crane is an iconic bird in China and Japan.

The colour palette includes nuances of indigo, grenadine, gold and sky blue, shades of milk-white and olive. Colour contrasts are emphasised by expressive textures and concise, graphical lines.

One of the key pieces in this FW collection is the bright indigo costume where the jacket has a specific hourglass cut and features golden cranes on the shoulders. Supremely modern pants with wide suspenders are also something to look forward to. Not to miss, the soft wool dress with scarlet diagonal crane motifs, and same colour dungarees made from 100% silk from the collection of top-shelf fabrics.

Since the sport theme is still in a lot of demand, they have stylishly fused it in their loose-cut silk costumes. There are a few more ravishing trends to follow this season: pearl blue pleated skirts, especially the insulated ironically oversized coat, and loose-fit knitted long sleeved sweaters made from 100% alpaca fleece.

The collection is a perfect ensemble to promote the concept of a Korsun Woman who is cheerful, self-confident, ambitious and most importantly free.
